Moon Over Mt. Rundle

Going through pictures, I couldn’t help but love the uniqueness of this capture! It’s one of few night shots I took in the Rockies last month simply because every day was filled from sun up to sun down to the point that I had not the energy to shoot from moon up to moon down. However I managed to grab this shot of Mt. Rundle before heading out to our campsite further up in the park.

The moon looks like the sun simply because it was such a long exposure. It was too dark to get any detail in both the landscape and in the moon. ISO 400 at 30 seconds on the 40D results in harsh grain when viewed up close, but it still makes the quality cut and would work for most print and online uses.

Wow! You inspire me to keep posting. But I can’t take much credit for it as I never would have been there if it wasn’t for you and your family. 🙂
