Glade Creek Grist Mill, West Virginia
My brother Jonathan and I stopped in at Babcock State Park, West Virgnia on our way back from the CAPTURE North Carolina workshop. Though I had driven past it by less than twenty minutes away dozens of times, I had never taken the time to visit. As is usual, I was surprised at how easily accessible and well developed it was. I guess all the photographers who took the photographs that I’d seen of the Glad Creek Grist Mill think the same way I do: eliminate distractions and preserve the feeling of 18th century West Virginia.
So, if you’re ever driving through the heart of West Virginia, I heartily recommend you take the time to stop by this beautiful park to enjoy the well-preserved icon of our West Virginia heritage
