Last night and this afternoon we explored the area around Hatcher Pass, a 45 minute uphill drive from Wasilla. What I loved about this place was the fact that we were close to the mountains, traversing the subalpine and alpine zones. I didn’t know exactly what that meant until I saw this sign. (I hope it’s not copyrighted…) Anyway, the winding, dirt roads were crazy and thus only accessible in the summer; and even then, only assessable to vehicles that could rough it. You’d think it couldn’t get more remote than this, but I have a feeling I’ll be changing my opinion the more we explore this incredible state of Alaska.
I’m so excited for you! Alaska is so beautiful. It’s amazing how God worked it out for you to go there.
Praise the Lord for the gorgeous weather He has given you! What a blessing!
Alaska… beautiful place! God is a (THE) awesome Creator!
AMEN!
