What I Learned at CAPTURE NC

by | Aug 15, 2013 | Perspective, Updates & Opportunities | 2 comments

There are so many pictures to go through after shooting for three days straight last weekend! During the summer months, I never have much time to edit pictures, but with the efficient post-processing features of Lightroom, I feel that I can at least publish a glimpse of what was captured. Enjoy a few more highlights from CAPTURE North Carolina!

And while you’re at it, take a look at this very detailed review written by Sarah, one of the team of photographers. It’s chuck full with beautiful pictures which I especially enjoy looking at because they’re all from a completely different perspective!

Benefits from looking at things from a new perspective apply to more areas than just taking pictures. As an instructor during this workshop, I was challenged daily to look for better ways to explain concepts, critique pictures, and help each photographer feel like they had learned something new. I found out quickly that the ways I perceived to do something beforehand were not always the best way to actually do it. With all that I learned in North Carolina, I simply can’t wait for the next workshop! There’s only 12 more days to sign up for CAPTURE Alaska!

I love taking pictures. I have such a desire to take beautiful landscape pictures. I find my self wandering if this is a wrong desire . To me taking pictures of such pretty flowers and beautiful butterflies things such as these is showing people how God loves beautiful things after all He created them. Also it is shows people there is a loving God who created these beautiful flowers and such pretty insects not for himself but for us to enjoy. That’s our loving Father.

Photography can be a competing affection just like anything else! It’s amazing how God has created us, so let us use our love for beauty and knack for capturing it with a camera to bring more glory to His name! You should come and learn more about photography at CAPTURE Virginia this weekend!
