Just finished up the Sacramento Event Photography Workshop! Here are a few pictures of the photography team and a brief overview of what we talked about each day before putting what we learned into practice by shooting assignments throughout the four days of the Family Conference.
On Tuesday afternoon, we talked about what camera settings to use to insure sharp images even in a dark auditorium, especially for the opening ceremony.
On Wednesday, we covered what elements of a picture make it dynamic and explained how to get those type of images in the specific areas of the Conference.
On Thursday, we went into great detail on how to set up our Lightroom catalogs so we could edit the pictures we were taking quickly and beautifully.
On Friday, we had the privilege of having Germain Bellamy, a pro portrait photographer from the Sacramento area, take some time to give tips, techniques and processes from his experience for shooting and editing pictures.
It was certainly a full week!

Thank you so very much for all time you put into us at the Sacramento conference. I really enjoyed our morning devotions that you led us through. I am looking forward to practicing all I learned at the conference. Thanks for all your encouragement!
I am glad to here that this workshop was a success! It looks like you had quite a group of eager young people ready to learn, which is always good! I even know a few of those girls that happened to attend this workshop! Good work team Sacramento!
