Wanted: A Picture That Illustrates “Walking Wisely”

Anyone happen to have a picture of a compass, a map, or a dangerous path in their archives?

Put it to good use by submitting it for the latest Shoot to Serve Opportunity: Walking Wisely! Sharpening Character is looking for a picture to illustrate Proverbs 28:26, “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”

Into the fog

As I was thinking about this verse today, I thought back to some of the different trails I’ve hiked in the past. I generally don’t intend to hike “dangerous paths”, but it’s amazing how even regular old “easy” trails can turn “dangerous” if I don’t follow common sense to walk more cautiously when it’s wet. A slip and a sprained ankle will turn a perfectly lovely hike into a perfectly miserable one. Likewise, learning to hear God’s voice in every-day decision making allows us to respond wisely to the ever-changing environment around us, thus avoiding the miserable consequences of intellectual living.

Have your own picture to submit? Even photos taken with your phone could work! Join PRO (if you haven’t already), and submit your picture here on Shoot to Serve.
