The Price of Adventure

Enjoy adventure?! Be sure to count the cost, because you never know when everything might just go dead wrong….

Behind the Scenes Insights

  • I was well aware of the danger of a wet snowfall….if it was a snowfall in late autumn when there were still leaves on the trees. But in February? It never crossed my mind that there might be falling objects in the forest!
  • It was a miracle that the second branch didn’t do more damage than it did. The instant before it hit, my brother Jonathan had pulled the handle on the door to open it. Oddly, it was locked. If it hadn’t been locked…there’s no telling what medical emergency we would have had on our hands.
  • God may bring unexpected problems in our life for any number of reasons! Sometimes it might be to build character, sometimes to increase dependence on him, sometimes to get our attention. Whatever the case, problems are a great opportunity to get our focus back on seeing things from his perspective.
  • So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (Psalm 90:12)
