Am I Willing To Wait For It?

My brother David plucks an ear of corn from the plethora of stocks that tower above him in the family garden under the warm, late-afternoon sunlight. He pulls away the husks to reveal for the first time the luscious fruit of his labors.

But let me ask. Was it only that morning that he had decided to cultivate fresh garden produce for his health and enjoyment?

My brother Jonathan sets the latest edition of Home and Land magazine on the table beside my desk and smiles as he points to the photo on the cover.

Was it only that day that he had decided to hone a craft in real estate photography?

I roll out a brand new revision of the Lenspiration home page in the wee hours of the morning the other night.

Was it only the day before that I had decided to move Lenspiration onward into it’s latest phase of development?

You are a photographer. You desire to capture amazing photos. You desire to share great work with others. You desire to pursue an ideal that would allow photography to fit into your everyday life.

But results do not grow overnight.

No, results are the result of hard work and long patience.

Jesus gloriously breaks forth from a tomb in victory over death at the apex of history! But one can not help but notice how such exultation was preceded by 33 lowly years of patient service to the will of the Father, beginning in an unkempt feeding trough and ending in a torturously painful death.

From our frame of reference, God’s timing and processes seldom make sense. But if it’s God’s work, it will always be done in God’s time.

Be ye patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws nigh.

Let the truth work its way to the surface, from the inside out. The good ground into which good seed falls is likened to “they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” Luke 8:15

JAMES: CUANTO CUESTA ESPERAR EN EL SEÑOR¡ LA PACIENCIA NO ES ALGO DE LO CUAL, LOS CRISTIANOS NOS DEBEMOS SENTIR ORGULLOSOS, YO LO ADMITO, ME CUESTA ESPERAR, ME CUESTA ENTENDER A VECES QUE LOS TIEMPOS DEL SEÑOR NO SON LOS NUESTROS, QUE DIFICIL A VECES, PERO DIOS SABE TODAS LAS COSAS, EL TIENE EL CONTROL DE TODO, EL SABE LO QUE ES MEJOR PARA NOSOTROS A SU DEBIDO TIEMPO, DICE EL SALMO: PACIENTEMENTE ESPERE AL SEÑOR……… EL NOS ESCUCHA, POR SUPUESTO QUE SI, PERO EL TAMBIEN NOS DICE: ESPERA EN MI TIEMPO, YO SE LO QUE HAGO, NO DESESPERES. ESPERAR EN LA ROCA ETERNA, ESPERAR EN JESUS. QUE DIOS LE BENDIGA RICAMENTE EN ESTE NUEVO AÑO QUE ESTA POR COMENZAR.
