Do Cameras Take Pictures?

When you see a beautiful picture, was it the camera or the photographer that took it?

I’d say the answer is, both.

Of course it was the photographer that initiated it. It was the photographer that envisioned the pretty picture, brought the camera to the right spot, set it up, framed the shot, adjusted all the settings properly, released the shutter, reviewed the image, tweaked the composition to perfection and then brought it back home to process and prepare it for you to view it in its finished form.

But he had to have a camera to make it happen.

And though the camera played a part, it is only natural that praise goes to the photographer for the beautiful picture he took.

Thus it is with good works. God is the one who initiates, orchestrates and carries out all good works.

But he likes to use us to make them happen.

And while we play our part in being God’s vessel of light to the world, it is only natural that all glory goes to the Father in heaven for the good works that He does.

“Ye are the light of the world….Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14,16
