2019 Membership Updates

While various aspects of the Lenspiration Membership may change from year to year, its purpose is always the same: to help budding photographers take better pictures and reach their photography goals by providing professional recommendations and unrestricted access to exclusive material in a family-friendly learning environment.

• In 2018, the approach to reaching this goal was centered on maximizing the exclusive content that already existed on the Roadmap while adding to it and escalating its scope by introducing new content through connecting with family-friendly photography sources beyond Lenspiration and providing new resources and opportunities that would help members develop their eye for photography so they could learn how to see and capture beauty wherever they were, regardless of age, experience level or area of interest.
• In 2019, the approach to reaching this goal will be centered around shooting real-life photo assignments, planned to be featured on a monthly basis. Members learn photography not just by taking in information, but by actually going out and taking pictures using an intentional 6-step process:

  We first learn how to shoot an assignment by watching someone else do it and by studying premium training related to the assignment. We then gather the specific details relating to the assignment so we can go out and shoot it properly. Each assignment comes with a deadline to eliminate procrastination. After submitting photos, we have the option to get invaluable feedback by watching critique via a monthly webinar. A winner is chosen, their photo gets published, and everyone else receives ideas on how to get their submissions published in other ways. In following this 6-step process, members gain experience in what it's like to be an actual photographer and learn valuable skills that could not be learned in a physical or digital classroom. 

It is only reasonable that all members are informed of all changes that occur during their membership. So, in light of the pending shift in approach between 2018 and 2019 as mentioned above, please take note of the Membership updates described in the following chart.
