I thought a recent Q&A Forum topic was pretty interesting….
@bennett-family asked, “I was cleaning out my camera bag the other day and came across this little thing in a small plastic bag, and I have no clue what it is! Can anyone identify it?”
I observed that it was probably something that would attach to a cord. Brilliant.
And actually, my first thought was perhaps it was a little mechanical device that would help keep this from happening…..
I seriously had no idea what it was. And I’m still not sure if I actually do, despite the impressive attempt made by an intelligent new holder of an amateur radio license ([email protected]) to explain it in laymen’s terms @buddingphotographer’s geeky reply.
Evidently, they call it a ferrite choke. And you can read what it actually is here, What is this?
“Of making many books there is no end.”
Always something new to be learned every day!
