What is a Photography Field Day?
It doesn't matter what kind of camera you have . . . learn the secrets behind truly beautiful photos and start putting them to practice like a pro! Challenging, fun, and fast-paced with plenty of time to practice, practice, practice, a Photography Field Day is a one-day field trip for learning specific photography techniques in the classroom of creation, applicable to whatever genre of photography you love! Geared for high-school to college aged young people, photographers of any age or experience levels are welcome. Grab your camera and let's go start taking better pictures than you've ever taken before!Â

- $179/photographer
- $89/photographer for Lenspiration Members!
Tuition does not include transportation, meals, housing or park fees. Tuition is typically non-refundable except for emergencies or if the workshop is canceled.

9:30am - Meet and greet- Classroom group instruction
- Outdoor practice and one-on-one instruction
- Break for mid-day meal
- Classroom group instruction
- Outdoor practice and one-on-one instruction
- Golden hour and sunset shoot (optional)
- A desire to learn photography!
- Any type of camera (DSLR or mirrorless recommended)
- Attendees under the age of 18 are encouraged to attend with a guardian
- Reasonable fitness level (for hiking or exploring!)
- A camera (DSLR or mirrorless recommended)
- Camera accessories
- Camera bag (large enough to carry your gear, a water bottle or anything else you would take on a short hike)
- A tripod (optional but recommended)
- Flashlight
- Sun protection
- A way to take notes
- Comfortable outdoor footwear (waterproof hiking shoes recommended)
- Guys: polos or colored t-shirts & durable pants such as jeans or cargo pants. Long pants recommended due to shooting environment.
- Gals: loose-fitting tops with high necklines & skirts, culottes or pants of modest cut, fit and length. Durable, outdoor clothing recommended.
- Something to eat for lunch and dinner
