I had the same problem. It may be associated with Apple products since I have a MacBook Pro. To resolve the issue, I simply clicked on the YouTube icon at the bottom of the forum screen. Once the YouTube opened, the chat began to work immediately. Somehow, it created a “channel” needed for the chat link.
