I have a Nikon too, Hannah. I don’t know if this is the “static” that you’re referring to but if I have my camera in auto-focus, it’s constantly trying to focus and that makes a lot of noise, so I have to manually focus to avoid that. I don’t use my camera for videoing very much though.
