Personally, I think the frame of the bridge window on the left side would accent the image if it was on the right also and framed the image on two sides, but being only on one side it seems to distract from the web. I tried cropping your photo and placing the center of the web using the ‘rule of thirds’, which removes the framework on the left side but in my mind brings more attention to the river, which could be a subject on its own.
Overall, I think the image captures the web very well,even though the composition isn’t exactly perfect or obeying all the rules of composition. Sometimes opportunity presents itself but we’re limited in how we can take advantage of it by the gear (or lack thereof) that we have on hand.
