Well, neither picture won a prize at the Grange. It’s a super small fair, and unfortunately, the judges don’t give any comments on the photos so I don’t know how they decide which photos get prizes, or why certain photos didn’t get anything. I actually don’t even know who the judge(s) are. Out of 8 categories though, I won 5 first prizes (including best of show), 3 second prizes and 1 third prize. But at the same time, I don’t get what’s going on in the minds of these judges, so I take it with a grain of salt to some degree 😀
Now if I get a prize for the Elephant or the other photos I submitted in the state-wide competition, I’ll take that more seriously. 🙂
