I agree with what @buddingphotographer and @morganwriter1gmail-com said.
For me, having the rose out of focus is something that actually distracted me from the verse rather than drawing my attention to it.
Keeping with the rose theme, here’s something I threw together last night as an example of using different fonts, different opacities, shadows, etc. I’ll admit it’s not the best example, but I thought I’d just put it out there for you to see another idea. 🙂
