I like Lydia’s flower because it is not only partly in focus, but it is also bright. Our pastor sends out a daily verse that he receives from somewhere and my constant complaint about the background photos is that they are sort of muddy in color. I’m sure they are trying to make the verse stand out, but the blah background is disappointing.
Thank you! That’s neat about the verse your pastor sends out; my dad started something similar at our church based on Psalm 119:164 “Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments” where a text message is sent out with a Bible verse 7xs a day, encouraging us to praise the Lord for Who He is and what He has done. It has proved to be a blessing. But I have to agree with what you said. One of my sisters tells me, “the only time I hear you comment on those texts is when you’re giving some critique of the picture – you DO know it’s just supposed to remind you to praise the Lord?” And my reply is, “I do praise the Lord!! It wouldn’t hurt for the picture to look a little nicer, though.” 😊

I’d second what @momparfitt said about cutting and pasting the same flower. It really would look more natural to have different flowers. Also, a quick comment on the text in that picture: watch that your text alignment is either more evenly centered, or if you’re going to have a word by itself on a line (like on line 2), it should look intentional, placed that way for emphasis. Does that make sense? ☺
By the way, I hope you’re feeling better?
