Hey everyone! Here’s a little update on trying to get accepted into Lightstock/creating an online portfolio.
Thanks to everyone who gave me their experience and ideas. And a special thanks to @jamesstaddon for making a premium training video about online portfolios!
I bit the bullet and got an Adobe creative cloud subscription which I could recommend to anyone.(I got a student [home school] discount which made it so I could get the whole suite for only $20 per month!)
With the subscription comes a free adobe portfolio website. I built my online portfolio using Adobe portfolio, and was quite pleased with the results. I built my portfolio with the purpose of eventually submitting another request to Lightstock,(the first one was declined,) and they just accepted the invite request! I thought that it might be helpful for anybody who is still building up their portfolio in hopes of getting into Lightstock, to take a look at mine to get an idea of what Lightstock is looking for.
I think it helped that I have a few different categories of photos in my portfolio. (I think one thing they look for is diversity in photos.)
Anyhow, here’s the link to my portfolio for anyone interested! My portfolio
