We don’t exactly live in wheat country. There are a few farmers in our area that plant wheat for their own use and last year I bought some wheat straw for our sheep from one of these farmers. Imagine my surprise when this summer, I saw wheat growing in our manure pile. When I saw the STS opportunity this month I decided to pick and husk a few heads of the wheat for some pictures. I had fun taking the pictures, and even they don’t get picked here, I am sure that I could use them myself. I very deliberately shot the pictures to have empty space in one of the top corners to make it easy to insert text.
