@blessingscaptured @buddingphotographer I don’t know if I had a trick… I just said “hold on one second, let me just focus real quick – no need to smile, I’ll tell you when” way more than I should have. XD Up front I told everyone that I didn’t have autofocus so they understood what was going on. It wasn’t ideal!! XD 😀 The wedding ceremony wasn’t too bad, I just had to make sure I was focused and ready waiting before anything big happened. 😀 Portraits was a little internally stressful though, to be perfectly frank. I got pretty quick at it though! I totally switched over to live view mode, would zoom in (not talking about focal length, just on the screen) so I could see their eyes, adjust the focus ring, zoom out, and immediately take the picture.
Also, I guess I didn’t set my aperture as low, especially for moving/walking shots and tried to keep the same distance away from people so I didn’t have to re-focus. 😀
