Personally I use the default name right from the camera, or with the date before the file name. It makes finding/identifying them at a later date a whole lot easier, and saves time for me.
IMPORTANT! If you put the date in the file name make sure it is Year-Month-Day, all numerical. ex.: 2021-01-21. Any other format can cause confusion or sorting issues.
