Did you use auto-focus for this shot? It looks to me like it couldn’t find anywhere to focus, so it couldn’t focus correctly, nothing is really perfectly sharp. That red “blob” in the background grabs my attention, I can’t figure out what it is! Is it a fruit of some sort from the plant you’re photographing? It makes me wonder what the picture would look like if you had focused on the berry, with the leaf out-of-focus. The leaf with the lines in it could be used as “leading lines” to help draw your attention to it.
