Nice. I can almost smell the pine needles and hear them cracking underfoot.
I think it would have been nice to see the stem of the leaf. Just barely. It’s neat to see the contrast of shapes and textures here; the criss-crossed pattern of the pine needles stand in sharp contrast to the soft, solid, and subtly crossed pattern on the leaf. Gives the energy that usually absent from many pattern abstracts.
Would like to see a little more vibrancy in the color. And there’s a lot of grain. It seems as though because it was taken during the day you could have a used lower ISO; or maybe reduced it some in post.
