It has the appearance of being an unprocessed RAW file. Was it shot in RAW format? If not, it probably has this illusion because of the fill flash. In this situation, the fill flash is great (albeit slightly overdone), but it means a little contrast needs to be added to the image in post. It’s nice that the background is natural and uncluttered. I would have panned to the left a little more to get the entire left arm within the frame. There seems as though there is too much “emptiness” in the bottom right side of the image. I would also liked to have seen more of the thumbs so I could tell it was a heart better.
