I don’t often try to take photos with my phone camera. Perhaps that’s because it’s not an iPhone. 🙂
Yes, the powerlines in the first one are distracting, and it would be worth your while to edit those out. However, the house in the background almost brings a cultural aspect to the image. Like, it makes me wonder if that’s what houses look like in Holland . . . or “perhaps this picture was taken in Holland!” Instead of a picture of a flower now, which are easy to come by and easy to produce, it’s a picture of a place, a place that might be exotic and exciting to visit. But this is only because the background element (the house) is not a distraction or cluttered; it’s just a complementary element.
In the first one, it seems to me that there needs to be more space on the right of the bloom.
In the second picture, I think you need to pull out a little bit (if proportionately, more space on the left side and bottom side of the image) to see more flower stem. This would help the mind to visually understand better what this big shot of color is.
