I have several Western Digital (WD) 2TB drives that haven’t given me any trouble with over the last several years. (At least one of them survived a house fire, and it’s still working! Obviously I don’t keep any critical data on it, but it’s good for a secondary backup.) Of course, I’m sure you can find folks who have had zero trouble with Seagate drives too, so take all anecdotal evidence with a grain of salt. 🙂 I wouldn’t hesitate to buy Western Digital drives again though. Buy from a reputable source (like Adorama/B&H) and not just a random Amazon or eBay seller.
