I am really sorry to have not replied sooner! Thank you @lenspirationlydia and @jamesstaddon for all of your help – I really appreciate it!
The issues with my camera are quite a long story… While I was out West with my family in 2020, I was noticing my camera being much slower at focusing and making interesting sounds. I also realized that my sensor needed to be cleaned. My camera took A LOT of fantastic photos out there. The first three photos are samples of what I used to get on my camera (#1 butterfly in 2019 or 2020, #2 wild horse in Montana, #3 landscape at Yellowstone).
When I got home from our vacation, I sent my lens off to get looked at (it was still under warranty) and heard back from the people that repaired it that there was debris in my lens and it was also missing pieces (!). When I got my lens back, it didn’t seem much better, so I sent my camera off for a general checkup and for the sensor to be cleaned. Somehow, during that process something happened to my camera and/or lens (whether it was me or the people fixing it, I don’t know). Now, many of the pictures have a greasy look to them, especially when I go beyond 60mm. Photo #4, #5, & #6 is how pictures I take commonly look now, and #7 is a picture I took after everything happened that actually turned out decent (as far as sharpness…).
Any thoughts?
