Promises of the Sky
In the moonbeams
I see Your never-ending love
In the stars
The promises You’ve made from the Beginning.
Never could I look at them again
Without thinking
Of Your great covenant with us;
Never again see them
Just as lights above in the sky
To make the darkness glorious.
Your holy face I see
In the sun’s bright rays
In the clouds the protecting tenderness
Of Your protecting wings.
Together they make a window
To Your Heavenly throne-
A stairway to happiness divine.
I look, and drink in
Your marvelous ways
And fix in my memory
Your beautiful design.
