“March in Texas”
by: Joanna Potter
March in Texas is quite interesting. The weather is ever changing. It may be warm and sunny one day, then cloudy, cool, and rainy the next. The temperature varies from 50 degrees to mid-80’s. One of my favorite things about March in Texas is the wildflowers. With the coming of spring, Texas wildflowers bloom all over; from the side of the highway to the nature trails. One sunny day, I found a clump of Bluebonnets, Texas’ state flower, swaying in the breeze. They made a beautiful picture! Another neat thing about March in Texas is all the new life that nature presents. The corn in our garden was sprouting and the new little plants were standing tall. I even came across a few of our zinnias leftover from last summer that had sprouted. Even the peach tree blossoms and buds were open wide. March in Texas is full of new life and new beginnings!
