Beach is one of my favorites. Often there are bright colored umbrellas, children playing in the surf, sand creatures (like crabs, snails and – if you’re in the right spot at the right time, turtle hatchlings!), birds (lots of gulls – if there aren’t any, toss out a few pieces of bread, and you’ll have more than you want), rocks, grasses, flowers, water sports, boats, people (walking, running, sunning, sitting, talking, playing games, building sand castles), pets (mostly dogs of every size and shape), and – of course – the constantly changing waves (which you can smooth with long exposure or freeze as they’re breaking). Great opportunities for different elevation perspectives – from on-a-towel low to high above (like from a balcony on the 21st floor!)
Be careful of blowing sand (you don’t want to have your lens or filter glass sand-blasted).
