Sweet! I remember now.
I’m forgetting the edit needed on the first one, of the gorgeous, stormy landscape. I think what I saw was it appeared that a gradient mask was used on the sky to darken it, but it also darkened the distant mountains and some of the green trees, indicating a gradient that was applied hastily. However, looking at it now, I can see how the dark mountains could be completely natural, if the foreground is partially sun-lit, and the the background is in shadow under the storm clouds. So, I do not see any needed edits on this one!
The second one….oh dear, I’m not really seeing any edit job needed on this one either. Perhaps my computer screen was showing the white balance as too warm? Or perhaps the sky just looked too gray? I don’t remember! If the sky was gray naturally, then I wouldn’t saturate it up unnaturally. Or, perhaps a white point needs set?
The last one, of the flowers, is the one I remember! I would just do what I could to brighten up the flowers so the petals look less like they were in shadow. Either brighten the whole photo, or do some local adjustments to make the petals look more “white”. However, this may not be something you want to do because it would be “unnatural”….the flowers are in shadow, so that’s just the way they will have to stay.
I’m curious, how did the photos turn out when printed?!
