I do like Marshville-covered-bridge-5-1930.jpg better as it is a slightly lower angle.

I don’t know if this makes any sense, but it feels like “a picture of a bridge” and not really like a “landscape”. I wonder if there was any way to incorporate the surroundings a little more. I’ve been to this bridge and know the surroundings (especially in the winter) are not much to look at, but I wonder what it would have looked like to include the main road on the right . . .
Also, I would suggest adding a hint of vignette. Not a noticeable one; just enough to direct the eye in a bit. See attachments to see if you notice the difference (but only notice because you see the non-vignetted one beside it). I used -12 for Post-Crop Vignetting under Effects in LR.
