The red and blue dots are “noise” or what we used to call “grain” in the old days of film photography. In this case it’s probably due in part to the long exposure which creates a lot of heat on the sensor, resulting in digital “noise”. Did you have your camera set for automatic noise reduction on long exposures? It’s nice you were able to get out at night and “shoot the stars”! Star trails make great photography, but you could improve the picture a lot by including something of interest in the foreground.
