Poor man’s tripod – try a bean bag! It transforms almost anything into a stable platform to take long-exposure shots. In addition, it can be “plumped” to tilt the camera forward or back a bit, or add some height.
In the detail is says: “For the week of Christmas, they would like to create VersePics that include photos of the traditional sights of Christmas!”
Do the pictures need to have a place where it would be easy to add text. (Blank, blurred and/or low contrast, etc.)

Great question, @blessingscaptured! That would be nice, but is not required. If there’s space in the photo, the Scripture verses can be overlaid on the photo, but if not, the verses will simply be placed beneath the photo on a color background.
The two snow pictures are from my portfolio.
There is a Christmas tree in the background and a wreath in the foreground. The Christmas tree/wreath picture I recently took. The tree was partially in full sun so that helped with sharpness.
These four pictures I got of indoor decorations. I was using my 70-300 for the first three then switched to my 24-70 for the “joy in the white wreath”. All of them I was using a tripod.

These three I took with mid-afternoon light using my 24-70mm lens. The camera was ground level, I used my tripod bag to protect it and prop it up.

Yay! So fun to see these photos starting to come in!
I took some pictures of a piano with Christmas lights & decorations, and then a couple generic pictures of the decorations as well! I love getting that Christmassy-sparkle feel with the gorgeous bokeh from the lights!
And then these are some from my portfolio. The berries with frost was one I just took last month, and the advent wreath photos I took last year. Incidentally, I’m finding that the advent wreath photos are selling well on stock (particularly Adobe Stock), so I’d encourage those of you who sell stock photos to upload those types of photos there as well. Evidently they’re needed!
Weeell, there is no snow here, and with my family we only celebrate hannuka sooo I was looking for Christmas, it was something difficult tho but here is a little hehe.
