Something I love about this image is that it is a silhouette and I can tell it’s at least a monkey. And it looks like a baby one, so you get the “cute” factor playing for you. 🙂
I love the “bokehed” out branches as well.
Couple of things for next time… I think I would zoom out if it were possible. I know it’s hard in zoos to keep it looking real and wide, but it seems a little tight. I’d like to see more sky above the monkey or more below the monkey—below the monkey might be better because he’s looking down.
Another thing is that the monkey (okay, I know it’s an orangutan, but monkey is just easier to type) seems just a touch out of focus. You might be able to salvage (if you know Photoshop or some other editor) this image by making a loose feathered selection around the monkey and then boosting the sharpness for the monkey and the beam above him.
