@nguyenfamily no, it’s not necessary to shoot in RAW for the assignments! I almost always use JPG, as it has a smaller file size, but RAW has benefits when it comes to editing. 🙂
Here are the photos I took for this assignment with my homemade extension tube. I haven’t had so much fun shooting an assignment in a long time! I love DIY projects. 🙂 The two photos with the tiny light bulbs are macro shots of a light panel.
The picture of inserting the memory card is with my 24-70 lens. The other two are with a reversed 58mm manual lens. I had never thought about utilizing the manual aperture when reversing lenses. It worked very well.

Great question, @laura-aome! Adobe defines macro photography in this way: “Macro photography is all about showcasing a subject larger than it is in real life — an extreme close-up of something small.” So, yes, your photos would be considered macro!
Thank you for that @lenspirationlydia! Glad mine are macro, at least to some extent!
I also was going to mention that the camera was actually quite dusty when I photographed it, and I had to use the Spotfix tool on my editor to try and clean up the pictures! So for everyone who will shoot this assignment….I would suggest that you clean the camera or whatever else you’re photographing beforehand! Lol!
Here are my photos for the current assignment. It was quite challenging for me because I was shooting with an iPhone, but I enjoyed the experience. I shot the photos with different angles and focuses.(some of which completely failed, or were blurry!!!)
