However\, the Columbia Gorge and Mount Hood area teems with incredible photography opportunities. Potential shooting locations could include the following: Trillium Lake\, Bridal Veil Falls\, Vista House at Crown Point\, Multnomah Falls\, Oneonta Gorge\, Wahkeena Falls\, and Lost Lake with vistas of Mt. Hood. \n\n\n\n\nBridal Veil Falls – From a parking lot on the highway\, a winding footpath and bridges lead to a vantage point for this spectacular falls. The falls consists of two cascades in quick succession along angling rockfaces\, so when there is a good amount of water the falls looks very much like its namesake. This is one of many\, many scenic waterfalls in the area that are game for visiting.\n\n\n\nVista House at Crown Point – Millions of visitors driving from Portland through the Columbia River Gorge don’t realize the full impact of its beauty until they come around the bend near Corbett and see the famous building on the top of the cliff to the right\, 733 feet above the Columbia River. This is Crown Point and the building is the Vista House.\n\n\n\nMultnomah Falls – Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon. Visiting a 611-foot-tall roaring\, awe-inspiring cascade of icy water\, lets you experience the power and beauty of nature up close.\n\n\n\nTrillium Lake – Trillium Lake Campground is a beautiful and popular campground not far from the quaint town of Government Camp. It provides spectacular views of majestic Mt. Hood\, Oregon’s highest point.\n\n\n\nOneonta Gorge – This spot has been designated as a botanical area because of the unique aquatic and woodland plants that grow there\, a wide variety of ferns\, mosses\, hepatics and lichens of which many grow only in the Columbia River Gorge. There are four major waterfalls on the Oneonta Creek as it runs through the Gorge\, which has been described as “one of the true dramatic chasms in the state.”\n\n\n\nLost Lake – You can find the heart of Mount Hood’s beauty and wildlife at Lost Lake. Photographers praise Lost Lake’s unrivaled vistas\, birdwatchers flock to see riparian and high elevation birds\, and natural history-lovers bask in old-growth forests and abundant wildflowers.\n\n\n\nVistas along the Columbia Gorge – Up to 4\,000 feet deep\, this canyon stretches for over 80 miles as the river winds westward through the Cascade Range forming the boundary between the State of Washington to the north and Oregon to the south. The Gorge is a place of spectacular natural beauty. The steep canyon walls rise in places to more than 4\,000 feet above the river. It is a place of waterfalls\, deep forests\, near-desert bluffs and unusual geography and climate.\n\n\n\nTransportation\n\nTransportation to/from the workshop is not provided.\nAirport runs to/from Portland International airport are available upon prearranged agreement.\nBe considerate of the dates and times your flights are scheduled to arrive and depart. Wednesday and Sunday afternoons are the best times to schedule your flight.
