Did you see that @emilym sent you the picture in drop box? I don’t think it was taken in manual though, and it is not in the RAW formation either, but just in case you can somehow use it, otherwise that’s fine.
I hope you were able to find some picture for the back ground.
Good for you! I wouldn’t normally use Manual much, but I’ve been using it a lot more lately out of pure necessity! 🙂

I don’t know much about Pentax, or nothing at all of how to change the settings, but I actually use manual all the time. I rarely use any other mode.

Do you mean the light box that @emilym uses, or just soap being made, because I do take pictures of people making soap, or other soap products when I get a chance…not the light box though! BTW,…Read more

@hannahm, what would have made you guess a 1/20 sec. exposure? 🙂 You actually guessed it correctly!

The reason I’m surprised is, most people would have guessed probably 1/1,000 at least, if not more! After all, it takes a very high (or fast) shutter speed to capture a water drop in mid-air! Just curious, did you have a good reason for guessing…Read more

Ok, good to know, @Emilym! If you’re happy with it in every day use, then I guess it’s doing a pretty good job! The “extended” kit lenses like the 18-135 and 18-140 are great for just that, (Taking great everyday pictures)

You could always test it’s product photography merits if you like. Take something simple, a bar of soap for example, and see…Read more
