I did enclose another picture of the same car taken from a lower level. I think it does cover the background. I could have taken the picture from the driver’s side, but I would be blocking the sunlight from reaching the car and the picture would then be underexposed or have a shadow of the…Read more

You certainly got the mood thing, @nasa! I feel like I’ve stepped into a movie about John Wycliffe or Maewyn Succat. Or is St. Patrick too early for that style of architecture? 🙂

The vibrant green grass makes me think of Ireland. And I love the heavy vignette in the bottom of the picture complementing the heavy clouds in the sky.

Difficult spot, but definitely a genius way to capture it.

I think the foreground plants really make this shot interesting. I like how the pond wraps around them on the left and continues on deep into the scene behind them. Adds depth. Composition-wise, this is an amazing shot.

I’m not sure about how I would go about editing it. Seems like…Read more

I did read through most of the article that @nasa posted, I agree that it was very interesting. One thing that I though of, my lens no longer fits snugly to my camera body, it used to, but now I can turn the lens on the camera some even when it is locked in. I did try the suggestion of switching camera/lens combos to try to pin point the problem.…Read more

I might add to @nasa ‘s warning about a new camera body, just because a friend has a body that allows micro-adjusting doesn’t really help @alaskabirder any, as far as making the lens usable with her current camera. Micro-adjustments are saved in the camera body, not the lens. (Maybe you already realized that, I just wanted to make sure!)
