Attendance

Destinations
From deep-forest waterfalls to vast overlooks along the Blue Ridge Parkway, there are countless natural wonders to experience and capture. Potential locations could include Lake Logan, Devil’s Courthouse, Wildcat Falls, Steestachee Bald Overlook, Courthouse Falls, Black Balsam Knob, and Bubbling Spring Branch Cascades.
Transportation
Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Cold Mountain Retreat. However, airport runs to and from Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) early Wednesday afternoon and Sunday afternoon may be available upon prearranged agreement. Lodging
Lodging is available at the Cold Mountain Retreat for Wednesday through Saturday nights. We’ll enjoy the private, wooded setting of a 6 year old home with unobstructed, breathtaking views of the mountains. Sleeping arrangements for guys and girls will be strictly separated. Depending on the number of attendees, cost will be between $45 and $75 per night for however many nights you decided to stay. Payment will be collected at time of arrival.
Meals
Wholesome, home-cooked meals will be provided for the majority of the workshop. Some meals may be taken at local restaurants near shooting destinations.
Clothing
Bring clothing for cool temperatures. Average October temperatures in the North Carolina highlands are High 69, Low 46 and it is quite probable that it may dip below freezing. We will be out before sunrise each morning which is the coldest part of the day, so please dress accordingly. - Anyone is welcome to stay Saturday night if it fits better into their travel schedule. Typical nightly fee applies.
