Hi,
I’ve been experiencing a problem with the exposure not being correct when shooting in Manual mode. Every time I set it to Manual mode and try to adjust the exposure to my preference, it never stays consistent. The exposure reading jumps around, and sometimes it shows that it’s set where I want it, but when I take a picture, it fluctuates wildly, either going up or down.
Because of this, I haven’t been able to use Manual mode at all. I’ve experienced this issue with several Canon cameras and wanted to see if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

This is very strange, @windyknollgoldens. What camera are you using? I have seen similar issues on Nikon cameras when Auto ISO is turned on in an obscure menu, making it appear that the ISO is being set manually, but when the shutter is released it just uses whatever ISO the camera thinks is best.
I have worked with lots of cameras too and have not seen the exact issue you have described before, so I want to hope that it’s a setting (or combination of settings) somewhere and not an actual defect with your camera.
We are using a Cannon EOS 5D Mark IV it will show and let you set the exposure, but then as soon as I take a photo it jump to either way to bright or two dark.
