Oh no!! đ Thatâs such a pain. You know – Iâd meant to check that out and forgot to. And now Iâve gotten quite attached to that font. Never mind, Iâll either have to buy it or search for another one. Thanks for pointing it out anyway, @jamesstaddon.

Well, I couldnât find out exactly what that meant. People seemed to be saying if you used it for anything to make money. So, Iâm not sure what the exact boundaries would be with that?? Everyone seems to have a different option! What do or donât you do with personal use only fonts. You know how Google randomly picks pictures for you lock screen? Well, my Dad is wanting to use my photos to create something similar for the sign in screen on his site. Since, I wouldnât be making any money, I suppose that font would be ok?
Even though I donât make a lot of money with my photography, I would just rather design one watermark and be able to use it for whatever I want! đYes, Iâve used fontsquirrel, before! Itâs go some pretty awesome free fonts!
Perhaps a better way to think about it would be: “for commercial use” instead of “to make money with”. Even if the font itself isn’t making money per se, it is being used in things that promote a business or help a business make money.
Personally, I have come to the point where I never download a “for personal use” font, for the very reason you mentioned. I’d rather design something and be able to use it for whatever I want too!
Hope you can find a similar, non-for-personal-use font to use in your watermark!
