If you’ve been in photography for any length of time, chances are you’ve come across a “high-contrast situation”. Often, our cameras don’t seem to know how to deal with it, and neither do we. These situations can be frustrating unless we understand just what a high-contrast scene is, and what to do in that situation. And that’s exactly what we’re going to tackle today! Not only will we learn what these situations are, we’ll learn how to photograph them by getting to know our camera settings, learning how to properly adjust our exposure, plus some additional bonus thoughts at the end. With experience, and the more you tackle these scenes like you’ll learn here, the easier it will become to shoot those high-contrast scenes!
