CAPTURE Maine
An educational workshop for those who love photography and the great outdoors!
Join a group of outdoor-loving, learning-focused photographers for an ultimate photography experience, observing and practicing more advanced topics in photography! CAPTURE is a two-day intensive, practical and hands-on. It’s designed for photographers who love any genre but want to go beyond the basics in landscape, outdoor, wildlife and nature photography. Learning photography in the classroom of creation, we’ll focus on building skills in these three essential areas:
- Learning how to effectively rely on your camera’s manual controls
- Setting up and following an efficient and organized post-processing workflow
- Improving composition by developing an eye for “seeing” and practicing specific composition tools
In addition to what is already planned, be sure to bring your own list of questions and we’ll do our best to cover those as well!

Clothing: Bring clothing for rain and cool temperatures. Average daily temperatures here in May are still chilly, between 40 and 63 degrees. We will be out after sunset which generally tends to be a colder part of the day. Bring stuff to keep you and your gear dry in the field in case it rains. May is a very cloudy month, and chance of rain is about 30%. Modest attire is always in style.
