Assignment Details: 12 Calendar-Worthy Photographs

Twelve of your best, calendar-worthy photos from the past 12 months.

Special Instructions:

The purpose of this assignment is to give you the time and incentive to organize, edit, and pick out your best photos from the past year. In our world of digital photography today, it's easy to take photos, but it takes time and discipline to process them all!

Beyond simply choosing your favorite photos from the past year, this assignment is geared toward helping you find the calendar-worthy ones! Here's the suggested step-by-step method for accomplishing this goal:

1. Starting from 12 months ago, make sure all your photos are organized into appropriate folders.
Remember, your 12 months of photos doesn't have to be strictly January to December.
2. One folder at a time, pick out all the photos that you think might work well in a calendar.
Remember, it technically doesn't have to be a scenic calendar.
3. Lightly edit those possibilities.
Even if you have hundreds. It's ok if it takes a long, long time.
4. Narrow down the possibilities to actual calendar candidates that you really like.
5. Look at common threads through the candidates to determine a theme.
6. Make the final cut to 12.
7. Edit those 12 to perfection before submitting them!

Photo Specs: High quality.  Minimum 3,600px longest edge. Tack sharp, proper exposure, edited tastefully, without watermarks.

Assignment Awards:

One winner will be selected at random and will receive a $50 coupon toward a box of 25 or more Artist's Calendars printed with their photos!

All other participants will receive a $20 coupon toward a box of 25 or more Artist's Calendars printed with their photos.

If an assignment winner or participant resides outside of the United States or Canada, or has already purchased Artist's calendars, they will receive a coupon of equivalent value to use on the Lenspiration store (excludes subscription renewals). Limit one coupon per household.

However, we recognize that the photos you submit for this assignment are your very best, and you may want to keep them exclusive to your portfolio. Therefore, any photos you submit for this assignment will not be automatically added to the database.
