Lydia BennettKeymasterSo fun! The lights in your first “black” picture are so picturesque, @brenalig! Were you able to get the picture that didn’t upload to go through in one of your other posts?
Here are some “white” pictures I took over the past couple weeks.

Lydia BennettKeymaster@brenalig, I believe you are running into challenges due to the size of your photo. If you downsize your photo, you should be fine with posting it here! If you need help figuring out how to do that, let us know! 🙂
Besides that, uploading the original versions of your submissions to this link does ensure that we get your original photos (as seen in step A in the A, B, C submission process on the Portal)! It’s always a good idea to upload your submissions there in addition to posting them here on the forum!

Lydia BennettKeymasterI was thinking about “pink”, and I know Suzanne said, “Pink is for a new tomorrow.” An early morning sunrise would be ideal since it can have shades of pinks mixed with blues, and matches the related verse best.”
However, when I thought of pink, I also remembered the delicate pink peach-blossoms that grow every year – and every year they’re as beautiful as I remembered. So, for some variety, I went into my portfolio and pulled three favorites that seemed to work with square crops.

Lydia BennettKeymasterAww, love it, @blessingscaptured! Flowers are so much fun to photograph!
And guys, we’ve entered the last week for this assignment!! I wanted to post some “black” photos here as concept ideas for anyone who still needs to photograph “black” with the candle idea, but wants to do something a little more than just take a picture of a candle alone.
I thought including a human element would be a neat addition and help illustrate “the people walking in darkness have seen a great light”.
It was super simple. You’re going to want to set your camera on a tripod (or sturdy surface) and put it on a 10-sec timer. Light a candle and place it in a dark area of the room. Frame up your shot and focus carefully on the candle (I used manual focus). Then press the shutter to start the 10-sec timer going and go over and place your hands around the candle, being careful not to bump the candle (or it may go out of focus). And that’s it!
It took me a few tries to figure out how to position my fingers around the candle so it looked natural, but overall it was really very simple. 🙂
If anyone wants to give it a try, have fun with that! 🙂

Blessings CapturedParticipantHere’s a pink, white and black submission.
For the white one here’s what I was thinking. White is for the grace He gave, even though the tree is old and broken the snow (God’s grace) can still make it beautiful.
It’s been interesting that since the assignment there’s only been a couple pink mornings. There’s still the rest of the week…
