Verse Pics: Any picture you’d like, with a verse relating to the scene designed on it.

Olivet Baptist Church has a Bible Verse Pic ministry where we send out 7 text messages each day to encourage their church family to pause at those moments and give praise to the Lord! This idea is based off of Psalm 119:164, “Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.” So, for this assignment, take some beautiful photos, pick a Bible passage that illustrates or complements the photos, and creatively overlay the text on the photos to make an inspirational "Bible Verse Pic."
Details
Special Instructions:
1. Choose a photography genre or category that you enjoy: still life, architecture, landscapes, bridges, churches, Bible/prayer, nature, city/town, or anything else you think of!
2. Take photos in your chosen category. When taking your photos, consider leaving space for where you are going to add text later.
3. Choose a Bible verse that you feel illustrates or compliments the concept of each photo (for example, Ephesians 5:9 would compliment a picture of a bowl of fruit). The more specifically a picture illustrates the message in the verse, the better.
4. Use a program or app to overlay the Bible passage over the photo in a creative and artistic way. Text should be well-designed and graphically pleasing. Read the training article below to learn more about how to add text to your photos.

Photo Specs: High quality. Minimum 3,600px longest edge. Tack sharp, proper exposure, edited tastefully.
Assignment Awards:
In order to be eligible to be chosen as a winner, you must be a Lenspiration member.
Winning Verse Pics will be chosen based on overall image quality, visual attractiveness, and good text design.
- 7 winners will be chosen. Each winner will receive a digital package with VersePic phone wallpapers, Bible Study & Memory tools, Scripture Encouragement Cards, a printable "Joy box" kit, and more!
- All other participants will receive a downloadable Bible Study & Memory PDF.
Olivet Baptist Church reserves the right to use any of the photos submitted for this assignment in their VersePic ministry. Submissions may also be added to the Shoot to Serve Photo Database.
