KeymasterI think maybe this picture could illustrate the verse that talks about “Only You can satisfy, You alone are the real joy giver”; the idea that it’s the sunlight that is making what is ugly look beautiful.
The picture of the deer I pulled from my archives to illustrate the first part of As the Deer, “As the deer panteth for the water,
so my soul longs after You”.March 8, 2021 at 10:51 am #60991Lydia B
ParticipantIs she playing all 3 verses of As the Deer, and all 5 verses of Fairest Lord Jesus, in her arrangement?
I know sometimes when you do a musical arrangement, you don’t play all the verses but you do have specific ones you’re thinking of as you arrange the piece (for example, if you are playing with the 1st, 2nd, and 5th verse in mind).
So, just want to clarify if she’s hoping to illustrate all of the verses, or a select few.

KeymasterOooh, great question! Will ask…

KeymasterAnd here is Elizabeth’s response! Very important info, indeed. 🙂
I will be doing two verses of each song (w/ a prelude and bridge) as follows:
As The Deer
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship thee
You alone are my strength, my shield
To you alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship thee
I love you more than gold or silver,
only you can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy giver
and the apple of my eye.
You alone are my strength, my shield
To you alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship thee
Fairest Lord Jesus
Fairest Lord Jesus,
Ruler of all nature,
O Thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
Thou, my soul’s glory, joy and crown.
Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring;
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing.
I look forward to seeing the creative interpretations of these precious words.-

ParticipantOoh! Good to know! Glad I asked 🙂
So, just to clarify, is she planning on matching up one photo per verse (and one photo per chorus), or is she planning to split it up more? For example, a photo to match the first half of a verse, and another to go with the second half?

KeymasterTo answer that question, you might see what she’s done in her previous videos: https://rumble.com/c/c-624807
She’s also said she uses between 15 and 20 photos per song, so yes, what you outlined is most likely how she’ll do it. I don’t think she has a specific, set method.

ParticipantOk! Very good!
Now to do some brainstorm….. 🙂

ParticipantI thought these pictures of daffodils in the woods could illustrate the verse “fairer still the woodlands,
robed in the blooming garb of spring”A note about the lens and camera settings: I was using my 58mm 1.4 manual lens, consequently the aperture doesn’t show in the file info. For these pictures I used f/4.0

KeymasterDaffodils are very much a woodland flower @blessingscaptured! Love the “peeking out” feeling in your last photo @elmullet! That’s pretty amazing, to get such a close up shot of a deer, @sarahb!

ParticipantI thought the shots of the boy watching the storm could illustrate the verse “You alone are my strength, my shield
To you alone may my spirit yield”. In the storms of life only Christ can be our shield. The shot with the young man holding money I thought could illustrate the phrase “I love you more than gold or silver”.
Then the shot with the cross and grape hyacinths could illustrate “Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer, Who makes the woeful heart to sing.”
