The first one is of a nativity scene at a rest home that my Grandad is in, and the others are of a speedy-job manger (with nails sticking out, and the two sides connected with some string!), with a baby doll and lots of messy straw set up in my brothers’ bedroom.

And yes, I and my other sister did put their bedroom back in order for them lol!

Oh guys, these photos are so much fun to look at! So cozy, festive, reverent, Christmassy! As I scrolled through each page, seeing your names (or profile titles) next to your photos, I felt like I walking into a room full of friends I had known forever. But then to think, “I don’t think I’ve ever met most of these folks!” 😀 It was a very strange feeling. Merry Christmas to all my fellow photographers I’ve never met! 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to do this assignment; I’m looking forward to seeing the last submissions come in today, and then critiquing them on Tuesday!

I had a great deal of fun with this. I love Christmas, and have very fond memories of it from childhood. These shots are mostly from decorations around the our house. The crocheted ornaments (bell & angel) were made by my mother. She would make them to sell in craft shops to supplement her social security income. The outdoor one is of a bank building in Ft. Wayne, IN that always puts up the Merry Christmas wreath each Christmas.

Nice! This sure was a fun assignment. If I’m doing the math right, there are 26 photographers who submitted for this assignment! It’s going to be a fun time critiquing as many as I can during the webinar!
